Prezzo, a chain of Italian restaurants are currently redeveloping (and expanding) the old Loaders / Pine shop premises in East Street.

Their menu certainly appears appetising, and their Blandford restuarant will make a total of 6 restaurants in Dorset, their others including:

Webtogs Arrive in Blandford?

Rumour has is that new retailer Webtogs is set to open the doors to their first shop in Blandford, having taken on the lease of the old Prezzie Pot shop in East Street.

Their blog, the ‘tog blog‘ certainly makes interesting reading, and they seem set to start the business with lofty ambitions and aims. The blog makes no mention of retail premises in Blandford, but watch this space…..

DVD / Video Rental / Hire in Blandford

With the recent closure of Apollo and then Youngs DVD and Video rental shops, Blandford is sadly now left without a dedicated DVD or video rental shop.

With a couple of the smaller convienience stores carrying a very limited range of DVD’s and Video for hire. Perhaps the best method of renting a DVD or Video to watch is the growth of the online / postal video rental companies?

Mackays moved in to Blandford approximately 18 months ago, shortly after moving in they were rebranded as M & Co.

Not many residents will be aware that aswell as visiting the shop you can also buy online from M & Co.
